26 Jun

With the 9th Annual Niagara Autumn Wedding Show fast approaching, TopWeddingShows.com has set out to give you a closer look into the local wedding world, with behind the scenes access to the talented industry leaders who turn your dreams into wedding reality. Recently, we had the opportunity to sit down with Anne Kelly from Inviting Elegance. Visit their website at www.invitingelegance.ca

In your opinion, what are the biggest trends for the upcoming wedding season?
Elegance – more and more couples are choosing classic, elegant colours and touches. Staying away from trendy themes.

What is the number one piece of advice you’d give to couples planning a wedding in 2012 / 2013?
Don’t get too overwhelmed with decisions – talk to two or three vendors, get a few options you like and then make a choice.

What is one of the strangest / oddest / funniest things you have experienced since working in the wedding industry?
A couple from 2006 divorced. The groom came back to me for his second wedding in 2009 because he loved his invitations so much! Also, an aisle runner with a Swarovski crystal monogram. It cost thousands of dollars!

What is your favorite part of the wedding process?
Planning all the little details that will all tie together on the special day.

What will you be showcasing at the Niagara Autumn Wedding Show?
Custom invitations that will give guests a glimpse into the couples wedding day – colours, theme, feel.
